No. 01 — The Origin
The One Nobody Handed Back
Every soldier gets issued a mountain of gear. Most of it gets turned back in without a second thought. One item earned a nickname, a following, and a permanent spot in the duffel: the poncho liner. The woobie.
It wasn’t fancy. Quilted nylon, light insulation, dried fast, packed small. But on cold nights, wet ground, and long waits, it was the difference between miserable and fine. Soldiers loved it so much that plenty quietly kept theirs when they got out. Some things you don’t hand back.
Woobie Gear exists to carry that material story into the life after — the campsite, the tailgate, the couch. Same soul. Built for every day.
